Founded in 2006, One Acre Fund supplies 1 million smallholder farmers with the agricultural services they need to make their farms vastly more productive. Our 8,000+ team is drawn from diverse backgrounds and professions. With operations across six core countries in Africa, we make farmers more prosperous by providing quality farm supplies on credit, delivered within walking distance of farmers’ homes, and agricultural training to improve harvests. On average, the farmers we serve harvest 50 percent more food after working with One Acre Fund.

About The Role
As Nigeria Finance Lead, you will join a growing team striving to end poverty by transforming the lives of Nigerian farmers. The team’s purpose is to scale the OAF model in Nigeria. To be successful in this role, you have in-depth knowledge of risk management methods and the ability to create forecasting models and advise our leadership team on important projects through concise and informative analysis.
Responsibilities
Strategic Planning
- Facilitate long-term financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Lead financial analysis for the country program including operational plans' diligence, sensitivity analyses, cost optimization, analyzing new inorganic growth opportunities, and investment decisions to support strategic decision-making
- Support Frontier Projects - creating financial models for new business opportunities across the country program that emphasize program financial sustainability and effectiveness.
- Develop and implement comprehensive financial risk management strategies aligned with the country program's overall goals.
- Assess the potential impact of economic, market, and regulatory factors on our financial health.
- Implement and oversee internal controls to prevent fraudulent activities.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, coordinating internal and external audits.
- Foster a culture of ethical behavior and integrity throughout the country program through ongoing communication and awareness initiatives.
- Work with Department Heads to set annual budgets and manage the monthly BVA process.
- Manage organizational cash flow forecasting by working in partnership with department leads.
- Present monthly, quarterly, and annual management account reports to the Country Director and the leadership team.

Qualifications
Across all roles, these are the general qualifications we look for. For this role specifically, you will have:
- A chartered Finance Professional with 6+ years of relevant work experience
- Must have advanced knowledge and utilization of Excel or Spreadsheets (experienced in financial modeling and analysis).
- Experience managing complex projects.
