Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Early Years Teacher to create a warm, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can thrive. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing, stimulating, and engaging learning environment that supports the developmental needs of children aged 3 months to 4 years.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver age-appropriate lessons and activities based on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) or similar curriculum
  • Create a safe, caring, and engaging environment that promotes learning through play
  • Observe, assess, and record each child’s progress and provide regular feedback to parents
  • Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with parents, providing updates and progress reports
  • Implement effective classroom management strategies to ensure a calm and positive learning environment
  • Identify any potential learning or developmental challenges and work collaboratively with the school team to address them
  • Ensure the safety and welfare of all children, following the school’s safeguarding and child protection policies
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, workshops, and school events
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and resource-rich classroom environment


Requirements:

  • Minimum of NCE, B.Ed., B.Sc. in Education or Early Childhood Education
  • Montessori training or knowledge of the EYFS framework is an advantage
  • Minimum 2-3 years experience in a reputable early years setting or preschool
  • Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate teaching methods
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Creative, energetic, patient, and passionate about working with young children
  • Ability to plan lessons, manage a classroom, and assess children’s progress
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies
  • Proficient in English, both spoken and written
