Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients, including assessment, treatment, and documentation of care plans.
- Medical Assistance: Assist physicians during medical examinations, procedures, and surgeries.
- Vital Monitoring: Monitor and record patients' vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Medication Administration: Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by doctors, ensuring accurate dosage and timing.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about their health conditions, medications, and care plans, promoting recovery and healthy lifestyle practices.
- Wound Care: Perform wound dressing, care for patients with chronic conditions, and monitor healing progress.
- Emergency Response: Respond quickly to patient emergencies, perform first aid, and stabilize patients before further treatment.
- Collaboration: Work closely with doctors, other nurses, and healthcare providers to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
- Nursing Documentation: Maintain accurate and confidential records of patient care, assessments, and treatments in compliance with healthcare regulation
- Compliance: Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and legal requirements in the delivery of nursing care.
- Patient Advocacy: Act as an advocate for patients’ rights, ensuring dignity, privacy, and access to proper healthcare.Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to optimize nursing practices and patient care.
Requirements:
- Education: Diploma or Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing school.
- Certification: Registered Nurse (RN) license; must be in good standing with the relevant nursing council or regulatory body.
- Experience: Minimum of one year of nursing experience in a hospital or clinical setting.
- Clinical Skills: Proficient in patient assessment, administering treatments, and monitoring vital signs.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for patient interaction and collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Empathy: Compassionate and patient-focused, with the ability to provide emotional support to patients and families.
- Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple patients efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem-Solving: Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to make quick decisions, especially in emergencies.
