Job Summary

We are looking for a proven, experienced nurse to provide medical care for children aged 1-18 and adults in a boarding school environment.

  • Minimum Qualification : Degree
  • Experience Level : Senior level
  • Experience Length : 3 years

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities: 
  • Provide comprehensive medical care to children and adults, including assessing, diagnosing, and treating common illnesses and injuries.
  • Dispense prescribed medications, monitor patients for side effects, and educate them on proper usage.
  • Conduct regular health assessments, including vital signs checks, growth and development monitoring, and management of chronic conditions.
  • Provide immediate medical attention in emergencies, including first aid and coordinating with emergency services when necessary.
  • Educate students, staff, and parents on health-related topics, including hygiene, nutrition, and preventive care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Work closely with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers to coordinate care and support the well-being of students.
  • Implement and enforce infection control protocols within the school to prevent the spread of illness.
  • Assist in planning and executing health programs and screenings, such as immunization drives and check-ups.
  • Provide emotional support and counseling to students dealing with health-related issues or stress, referring them to specialists as needed.

Requirements:

  • A valid nursing degree from an accredited institution.
  • Current nursing license.
  • A minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, with a focus on pediatric care and experience in a boarding school or similar environment preferred.
  • Strong clinical skills in assessing and treating pediatric and adult patients. Ability to handle emergencies and provide appropriate care.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with children, parents, and staff.
  • A caring and patient-focused attitude, with the ability to provide comfort and support to patients of all ages.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and potentially stressful environment, handling multiple tasks with attention to detail.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations, infection control practices, and child protection protocols.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including educators, counselors, and other healthcare professionals.
