PR Officer

Responsibilities:

• Draft and distribute press releases, news articles, and other PR-related content to promote the organization effectively.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, ensuring successful pitching and coverage of stories.
• Monitor media channels and industry trends to identify opportunities for publicity and brand promotion.
• Support the planning and execution of PR campaigns and events to enhance public engagement.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure cohesive messaging across all communication platforms.
• Assist in managing the organization’s image and reputation through proactive communication strategies.
• Provide timely responses to media inquiries and act as a liaison between the organization and media representatives.
• Research and identify innovative ways to increase brand visibility and audience reach.
• Maintain accurate records of media coverage and PR activities for reporting purposes.
• Contribute fresh, creative ideas to enhance the organization’s PR strategies and initiatives.

Requirements:

• You must be currently serving your NYSC year.
• Excellent writing skills – you must be able to craft press releases, news articles, and other PR content.
• Strong knowledge of media relations, including pitching to media outlets.
  
• A fast learner who is proactive and loves thinking outside the box.
  
• An energetic, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
