Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric occupational therapy, a passion for working with children with special needs, and the skills to tailor interventions to meet the unique needs of each child. Full-time and part time are welcome.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to identify the developmental needs of children with various special needs, including autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, cerebral palsy, sensory processing disorders, and more.
  • Design and implement individualized treatment plans to improve fine motor skills, sensory integration, motor planning, self-regulation, and other developmental areas.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including educators, speech therapists, psychologists, and parents, to ensure a holistic approach to each child’s development.
  • Provide hands-on therapy sessions, using evidence-based techniques, to help children improve their functional independence and life skills.
  • Monitor and document each child’s progress, adjusting therapeutic goals and techniques as needed.
  • Support and educate parents, caregivers, and teachers by providing resources and guidance for at-home and classroom activities.
  • Participate in team meetings, professional development sessions, and training to stay up-to-date with the latest in occupational therapy.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a pediatric occupational therapist, ideally with children with special needs.
  • Registered with a recognized Occupational Therapy board.
  • Strong understanding of various developmental and neurological conditions impacting children.
  • Exceptional communication skills with a compassionate approach toward children and families.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
