Context
NIF was established in 2014 to facilitate collaboration among international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) in Nigeria for humanitarian, development, and peacebuilding efforts. It serves as a vital platform for information sharing, advocacy, and engagement with authorities, donors, and the UN, ensuring the inclusion of INGO perspectives and those of affected populations in decision-making. Governed by a core membership of 59 members and nine observers, it operates under a Steering Committee comprised of five Country Directors and a Chair, supported by a Secretariat.

What you will do:'
The role acts as a pivotal link between the diverse activities of the NIF and its core objectives. Directly reporting to the NIF Director, the Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing finances, overseeing grants, and strengthening member relations. With meticulous attention to detail and a dedication to excellence, the individual in this position will foster effective coordination across various functions, positioning NIF as a leading entity in humanitarian, recovery, and developmental efforts in Nigeria.
- Compliance with and adherence to NRC and NIF approved policies and procedures and to and donor policies, guidance, and procedures.
- Coordinate timely operational planning and management of logistics activities.
- Coordinate market assessment/survey within the scope and request of programme/project developers
- Ensure proper filing of all support documents. 8. Perform other duties, as assigned by Line Manager Specific responsibilities Finance Support and prepare and submit reports and analysis.
- Provide anti-corruption, transparency and cost efficiency focus on all processes (e.g. in procurement, vehicle management, asset management) and support line managers in procedures and require support team trainings related to logistics.
- Manage and monitor the cash flow of Membership Fees in accordance with host agency finance procedures and ensure reporting to the membership, Work with NIF Director to ensure compliance with donor, and host agency regulations.
- Manage NIFs internal monthly accounting and financial reporting in partnership with the host agencies finance team, monitoring and updating the Master budget with staff allocation as per donor budgets.
- Updating the BMT with forecast and actual spendings on a monthly basis to give a clear picture of NIF’s spending and coordinates with host agency grants management team on the financial proposals and reporting.
Grants Management
- In close coordination with NIF Deputy Director/ Abuja, supports the development of proposals and grants reporting. Supports the consolidation of input of NIF team to proposals/reports narrative and budgets, in line with donor requirements.
- Manage reporting deadlines, coordinate, and consolidate reports as necessary from team members.
- Maintains necessary records, files, reports, databases, and resource materials pertinent to grants management.
Membership Support Management
- Directly manage and coordinate NIF working groups (Logistics, Human Resources and Finance) by organizing regular meetings/workshops, and by providing regular follow up.
- Provide regular updates on the working groups work and expectations to NIF Director and NIF Plenary.
- Support new INGO members/ member admin staff with relevant information, including linking them up with admin units in various INGOs for support.
- Support individual NIF members staff to address issues on logistics, human resources and finance, in close collaboration with NIF government liaison team.
- Manage the application process for prospective members, present new member applications to the NIF Director and welcome new members to the Forum through the induction process.
- Prepare the annual membership invoices and receipts upon payment and share information related to all payments to the director.
Administrative Management
- Support the recruitment process, Terms of Reference and contract drafting for consultants in close collaboration with the host agency.
- Manage the procurement, financial, and administrative systems in compliance with host agency and donor requirements.
- Oversee the management of the asset and non-asset record of NIF office in Abuja and Maiduguri.
- Supervise operational support staff in ensuring support activities including procurement, travel, and logistical arrangements for in country and international travel are provided.
- Directly manage the Operations/Program team of NIF.
- Oversee the general office operations management.

What you will bring:
- University or an Institution degree in business administration, finance, Social Sciences or relevant field.
- Experience in coordination within a humanitarian/recovery context
- Documented results in related responsibilities.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
Context/Specific skills, knowledge and experience:
- Financial management experience, experience with budget development and monitoring; additionally basic accounting skills would be an advantage
- Experience in Logistics procedures, knowledge of principles and best practices
- Proven and well-demonstrated experience in relationship-building skills and stakeholder management.
- Experience in managing teams is an advantage.
- Grant management experience with knowledge of the grant submission processes of major humanitarian and development donors, is an advantage
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent writing, editing, and analytical abilities.
- Proven ability to build relationships and facilitate dialogue among diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to present and represent collective views to various stakeholders.
