We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead our team of Business Development Associates at Billboxx. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving business growth, developing strategic partnerships, and leading the team to achieve revenue targets. You will play a critical role in expanding our market presence and increasing our client base, particularly in the SME and enterprise segments.
Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and mentor a team of Business Development Associates to meet and exceed sales targets
- Market Expansion: Develop strategies to identify new business opportunities and partnerships, focusing on both SMEs and enterprise customers
- Client Acquisition: Oversee the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to closing, ensuring a pipeline of prospective clients
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and partners to drive long-term growth
- Sales Strategy: Work with senior management to define and execute on business development strategies, goals, and revenue projections
- Collaboration: Coordinate with internal teams (marketing, product, and operations) to ensure alignment in strategy execution and customer satisfaction
- Reporting: Track key sales metrics and KPIs, and present regular performance reports to the senior leadership team
- Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer needs to adapt strategies accordingly
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA is a plus)
- 5+ years of experience in business development, B2B sales, enterprise client management or a similar role, preferably within the fintech space
- Proven experience leading and managing sales teams to achieve revenue goals
- Strong understanding of the SME and enterprise sales landscape
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
- Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to solving problems
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Hubspot, Salesforce)
- Knowledge of financial products, services, and industry regulations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Creative problem-solving skills and strategic thinking abilities
- Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings and business development activities
