Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Operations Manager to oversee and optimize our business operations in the Nigeria region. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving operational efficiency, integrating sustainable practices, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering strong stakeholder relationships. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
There will be a three month probationary period with a salary of 260,000 Naira
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the integration of sustainable practices into daily operations, including waste reduction, energy efficiency, and responsible resource management.
- Ensure that the company complies with all relevant environmental regulations and certifications.
- Monitor and report on sustainability metrics, identifying opportunities for further improvement.
- Oversee day-to-day administrative operations, including facility management, office supplies procurement, and general upkeep.
- Ensure that all administrative records are maintained accurately and securely, including employee records, contracts, and company policies.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure smooth administrative support for all company operations.
- Identify, evaluate, and select vendors and suppliers, negotiating contracts to achieve the best possible terms.
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors, ensuring quality, timely delivery, and cost-effectiveness.
- Regularly assess vendor performance, addressing any issues and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute strategies that align with operational capabilities and business goals.
- Streamline sales processes and systems to enhance efficiency, reduce turnaround times, and improve customer satisfaction.
- Support sales efforts by ensuring that operational processes meet client expectations, leading to increased customer retention and satisfaction.
- Develop, manage, and monitor budgets for various operational activities, ensuring alignment with the company’s financial goals.
- Implement cost-saving measures without compromising operational efficiency or quality.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to provide accurate and timely financial reports, including expense tracking, cost analysis, and forecasting.
- Ensure all operations comply with financial regulations and internal policies.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for the operations department that align with overall business objectives.
- Lead and oversee projects that drive operational improvements, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of operational activities.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Address and resolve any conflicts or issues that arise within the team or across departments.
- Identify training and development needs, providing opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and advance their careers.
- Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with existing stakeholders, including the team, vendor companies, sales partners, and other key collaborators. Actively identify and establish connections with new stakeholders to support business growth and operational efficiency.
- Regularly monitor and assess the satisfaction of current stakeholders, ensuring their needs and expectations are consistently met or exceeded. Implement strategies to promptly address concerns and maintain high levels of satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in operations management, preferably within an IT or related industry.
- Strong understanding of sustainability initiatives and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Solid financial acumen, including budgeting, cost analysis, and financial reporting.
- Exceptional problem-solving, decision-making, and strategic planning skills.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
