Operations Manager

Responsibilities:

• Assess and restructure the company’s operational processes, and address all operational bottlenecks.
• Establish and enforce clear workflows, accountability, and communication channels.
• Inspire and motivate the team while holding them accountable to high levels of performance and integrity.
• Address under-performance through training, active monitoring, and performance reviews.
• Analyse and reduce material wastage and production costs.
• Streamline the procurement process and vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective sourcing.
• Utilize expertise in printing press machinery to manage maintenance schedules and prevent downtime.
• Ensure machines are operating at optimal capacity and lead efforts in upgrading/reconfiguring/re-purposing outdated equipment.
• Implement and manage digital tracking systems to monitor production, order fulfillment, and resource utilization.
• Use Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) to create detailed operational reports, presentations, and process guides.
• Establish stringent controls to prevent inventory mismanagement.
• Ensure compliance with all legal and industry standards.

Requirements:

• 5 years experience
• Degree in a related field
• Proven experience in operations management in a printing press or a similarly demanding technical field. 
• Demonstrated success in turning around operations. 
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Hands-on experience with production machinery and maintenance schedules. 
• Basic coding ability to create automation scripts or improve workflows. 
• Excellent organizational and process improvement skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management Engineering or a related technical field is preferred but not mandatory if extensive relevant experience is demonstrated.
