Job Summary

The Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Pharmacist Technician supports the production of pharmaceutical products by assisting in the formulation, compounding, and packaging of medications in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory standards. This role ensures accuracy, safety, and efficiency in pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

Manufacturing & Compounding:

  • Assist in the preparation, mixing, and compounding of pharmaceutical products as per approved formulations.
  • Operate and maintain manufacturing equipment, ensuring efficiency and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).


Quality Control & Compliance:

  • Conduct in-process checks to ensure consistency and compliance with quality specifications.
  • Ensure proper labeling, packaging, and documentation of manufactured products.
  • Adhere to regulatory guidelines, including NAFDAC, and other relevant authorities.


Equipment & Inventory Management:

  • Assist in maintaining inventory of raw materials, ensuring proper storage and usage.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or deviations to the appropriate personnel.


Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate batch records, logbooks, and production reports.
  • Ensure proper documentation of raw material usage and product yields.
  • Assist in investigations and troubleshooting of production issues.


Safety & Hygiene Compliance:

  • Follow all safety protocols, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Participate in training programs on GMP, quality assurance, and safety procedures.


Requirements:

  • Diploma or OND in Pharmacy Technology or related field.
  • Must be registered with the appropriate regulatory body.
  • Minimum of 1 year in pharmaceutical manufacturing or production.
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of GMP, SOPs, and regulatory compliance.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Good teamwork and communication skills.


Work Environment:

  • Requires working in a cleanroom or controlled manufacturing environment.
  • Handling raw materials.
  • Exposure to chemicals and production machinery.
