Job Title: Security & Community Relations Manager

Job Purpose
The Security & Community Relations Manager is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the plant, its employees, and assets while fostering positive relationships with the local community.
This role involves developing and implementing security protocols, managing community outreach programs, and addressing any community concerns related to the plants operations.
Responsibilities
Security Management:
Develop and implement comprehensive security policies and procedures.
Oversee the security team and ensure effective monitoring of the plant premises.
Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments.
Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
Manage security incidents and investigations, ensuring timely resolution.
Community Relations:
Develop and maintain positive relationships with local community leaders and organizations.
Plan and execute community outreach programs and initiatives.
Represent the company at community events and meetings.
Address community concerns and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
Collaborate with the HR, Manufacturing and Marketing teams to promote a positive image of the company.
Compliance and Reporting:
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to security and community relations.
Prepare and present regular reports on security and community relations activities to senior management.
Monitor and report on community issues that could impact the company.
Experience & Academic Requirements
Bachelors degree in security management, Public Relations, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in security management and community relations, preferably in the FMCG or manufacturing sector.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
High level of discretion in managing sensitive and confidential information.
A previous engagement with the military or Special Forces desirable.
Proficiency in using security management software and tools.
Key Skills & Competency Requirements:
Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
Strong organizational and project management abilities.
Proficient in public speaking and community engagement.
Knowledge of community dynamics and development practices in Abia state.
