Pharmacy Technician

Responsibilities:

• Medication Dispensing:
• Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications.
• Ensure accurate labeling and packaging of prescriptions.
• Customer Service:
• Provide excellent counseling and support to patients.
• Address patient inquiries and provide information on medication usage and side effects.
• Inventory Management:
• Maintain adequate stocks of medications and ensure proper storage to preserve quality.
• Conduct regular inventory checks and manage supply orders.
• Prescription Processing:
• Process prescriptions electronically, ensuring all information is accurate and complete.
• Authorize prescription refills and manage prescription records.
• Regulatory Compliance:
• Adhere to all pharmacy laws and regulations.
• Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
• Communicate effectively with team members and patients.

Requirements:

• Certificate of Pharmacy Technician is compulsory.

• Registration with the Board of Pharmacy and a current practicing license as a Pharmacy Technician.

• Minimum of 1 year experience working as a Pharmacy Technician.

• Ability to process prescriptions electronically and ensure accuracy.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

• Strong customer service and patient counseling skills.

• Familiarity with technological tools, including Microsoft Office suite.

Location: Must reside around the Lekki-Ajah axis to ensure proximity to the workplace and ease of travel.
