Physics Teacher

Responsibilities:

• Teach Physics to secondary school students (SS1 and SS2), ensuring a solid understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of the subjects.  
• Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments in line with the school's curriculum and external examination requirements (WAEC, NECO).  
• Utilize a variety of teaching methods to engage students with different learning styles, ensuring concepts in Physics are easily understood.  
• Conduct laboratory experiments and practical sessions to reinforce theoretical learning in Physics.  
• Assess and track students' progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to help them improve.  
• Prepare students for internal and external examinations, ensuring they meet academic standards and are confident in their abilities.  
• Collaborate with other teachers in the school to maintain consistency in teaching approaches and share best practices.  
• Encourage students to explore careers in STEM fields by organizing discussions, projects, and activities related to Physics.  
• Maintain a positive, disciplined, and inclusive classroom environment that fosters academic growth and curiosity.

Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Education, or a related field.  
• Proven experience teaching Physics, preferably in a secondary school setting.  
• In-depth knowledge of the curriculum and examination standards for WAEC and NECO.  
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.  
• Ability to explain complex concepts in an engaging and accessible manner.  
• Strong organizational skills and proficiency in using technology for teaching and assessment.  
• A commitment to fostering a love for learning and academic excellence in students.
