Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Physics/Math Tutor to join our team. As a tutor, you will help students of various levels (middle school, high school, or college) achieve academic success in their physics and mathematics courses. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for teaching, a solid understanding of physics and mathematics concepts, and the ability to communicate complex topics clearly and engagingly.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one or group tutoring sessions in physics and mathematics to students.
- Develop customized lesson plans based on individual student needs and learning goals.
- Explain complex physics and math concepts clearly and understandably.
- Assist students with homework assignments, projects, and exam preparation.
- Foster a positive and supportive learning environment to encourage student engagement and confidence.
- Track student progress and adjust tutoring methods accordingly to ensure their academic success.
- Provide feedback to students and parents/guardians on progress and areas for improvement.
- Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills in students.
- Stay updated with the latest educational tools, teaching methods, and curriculum changes in the field of physics and mathematics.
Requirements:
- Experience with standardized test preparation (SAT, ACT, NECO, SSCE, UME, etc) for physics and math subjects.
- Familiarity with educational technology tools (e.g., online whiteboards, video conferencing platforms, or learning management systems).
- Ability to teach a variety of math and physics topics, including advanced subjects (e.g., electromagnetism, quantum mechanics, multivariable calculus, and further math).
- Ability to teach students remotely using digital platforms.
- 1-2 years of proven experience as a tutor or teacher in physics, mathematics, or related fields.
- Strong proficiency in physics and mathematics topics, including but not limited to algebra, calculus, geometry, trigonometry, and mechanics.
- A degree/HND or higher in Physics, Engineering, or a related field with equivalent experience is required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex topics to students at various learning levels.
- Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine interest in helping students succeed.
- Ability to assess students’ strengths and weaknesses and develop tailored tutoring strategies.
- Previous tutoring or teaching experience is a plus.
