Pig Farm Manager

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily care and feeding of pigs.
• Manage breeding programs and ensure optimal reproduction cycles.
• Monitor and maintain pig health, including administering treatments and working with veterinarians.
• Maintain farm equipment, buildings, and infrastructure.
• Manage waste disposal and ensure proper sanitation on the farm.
• Track farm production data and generate reports for management.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding animal welfare, safety, and environmental standards.
• Develop and manage farm budgets and expenses.
• Implement and oversee animal welfare practices and protocols.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in animal husbandry, preferably in pig farming.
• 3-5 years of working experience
• Strong knowledge of pig health, breeding, and nutrition.
• Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Familiarity with farm equipment and machinery.
• Strong communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of farm management software and record-keeping.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
• A degree or certification in animal science, agriculture, or a related field is a plus.

Working Conditions:

• Full-time position with occasional weekend or evening hours required.
• Work is primarily outdoors in a farm environment.

Remuneration: NGN  300,000 Net plus accommodation
