Piping Fitter

• Read and interpret piping drawings, isometric sketches, blueprints, and specifications.
• Measure, cut, thread, bend, and assemble pipes using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
• Install pipe supports, hangers, and hydraulic or pneumatic systems as needed.
• Fit and join pipes using techniques such as threading, welding, soldering, or cementing.
• Conduct leak tests and quality checks on completed systems.
• Ensure proper alignment and fit-up of piping systems before final welding or connection.
• Work closely with Foremen, Welders, and other trades to coordinate work on-site.
• Adhere to all relevant safety guidelines and procedures.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Report any design discrepancies, material issues, or safety concerns to supervisors.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in pipefitting is preferred.
• Minimum of 3–6 years of experience in piping or mechanical fitting roles.
• Strong knowledge of piping materials (carbon steel, stainless steel, PVC, etc.).
• Ability to use hand and power tools, pipe threading and bending machines.
• Basic understanding of welding techniques (if required).
• Familiarity with safety practices and use of PPE on construction sites.
• Precommissioning experience

Working Conditions:

• Work is typically outdoors or in industrial environments.
• May involve working at heights, in confined spaces, or under challenging weather conditions.
• Physical stamina and strength required for lifting, climbing, and standing for long periods.
• May require shift work or overtime based on project demands.
