Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

Supervision and Workforce Management:
    •    Supervise piping crews including pipefitters, welders, and laborers.
    •    Assign daily tasks and monitor workforce performance.
    •    Ensure adequate manpower and materials are available for scheduled activities.


Technical Oversight:
    •    Interpret and implement piping drawings, isometrics, and P&IDs.
    •    Oversee the installation, alignment, fit-up, and welding of piping systems.
    •    Conduct visual inspections and coordinate with QA/QC teams for testing and approvals.


Safety and Compliance:
    •    Enforce strict adherence to safety standards and permit-to-work systems.
    •    Conduct daily toolbox talks and ensure the use of proper PPE.
    •    Ensure work complies with industry standards and project specifications (ASME, API, etc.).


Planning and Coordination:
    •    Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other discipline supervisors.
    •    Monitor progress to ensure project milestones and deadlines are met.
    •    Identify and address potential delays or resource shortages proactively.


Documentation and Reporting:
    •    Maintain daily logs of manpower, progress, and issues.
    •    Prepare and submit progress reports to the construction or site manager.
    •    Ensure proper documentation of weld maps, material traceability, and inspection reports.


Quality Assurance:
    •    Ensure all piping activities meet quality standards.
    •    Support pressure testing, flushing, and commissioning of piping systems.
    •    Coordinate with inspection agencies and client representatives as needed.


Requirements:
    •    Minimum of 5 years experience in piping works, including supervisory roles.
    •    Strong understanding of piping materials, fabrication, and welding processes.
    •    Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
    •    Knowledge of safety practices and piping codes (e.g., ASME B31.3, API standards).
    •    Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
    •    Technical diploma or relevant certification in mechanical or piping engineering preferred.
