Pool Car Driver

Responsibilities:

• Operate manual transmission vehicles proficiently, ensuring smooth and safe driving under all road conditions.
• Follow traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to ensure the safety of passengers and other road users.
• Safely transport employees or company personnel to their designated locations on time.
• Utilize Google Maps and other navigation tools to determine the most efficient routes for trips.
• Familiarize yourself with common routes and alternative paths to avoid traffic congestion and delays.
• Make adjustments to routes based on traffic conditions, roadworks, or emergencies to ensure timely arrivals.
• Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the vehicle, both inside and out, ensuring it is in optimal working condition.
• Report any vehicle malfunctions or issues to the appropriate personnel for immediate attention.
• Keep up-to-date with scheduled vehicle maintenance and servicing, ensuring minimal disruptions to daily operations.
• Maintain accurate records of daily mileage, fuel consumption, trips, and any incidents or issues encountered while driving.
• Ensure that vehicle-related documentation such as insurance, licenses, and registration are up to date.
• Provide excellent customer service by being polite, respectful, and professional at all times with company employees and passengers.
• Effectively communicate with passengers to confirm trip details and adjust routes if needed.
• Coordinate with supervisors or dispatch for trip schedules, route changes, or any other special requirements.
• Ensure the safety of passengers by following company security protocols during trips.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to identify any potential safety issues.
• React promptly in the case of an emergency, including navigating vehicle breakdowns or medical emergencies.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of professional driving experience, preferably with manual transmission vehicles.
• Must have a valid driver's license with no history of traffic violations.
• Proficient in navigating with Google Maps and other GPS tools.
• Strong knowledge of local routes, traffic patterns, and shortcuts to ensure the most efficient trip planning.
  
• Ability to adjust to traffic conditions and road closures in real-time.
• Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles comfortably and handle different types of road conditions.
  
• Familiarity with basic vehicle maintenance, including conducting daily inspections and identifying common mechanical issues.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with passengers and company personnel.
  
• Polite, courteous, and professional demeanor at all times.
• High level of attentiveness to traffic conditions, passenger safety, and vehicle performance.
  
• Strong time management skills to ensure punctuality for scheduled trips.
• Must live near the work location to ensure prompt availability and response to driving requests.
  
• Physically capable of handling long hours of driving and occasional heavy lifting of luggage or equipment.
