Role Description

This is a senior-level opportunity for an experienced Communications/Public Relations professional with about 4/5 years of successful proven PR campaign execution. You will have a solid understanding of PR and be responsible for managing the day-to-day running of all clients’ accounts and communications.

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate individual who will be in charge of building and maintaining relationships with the press, and stakeholders internally and externally, ensuring coverage across media, and driving brand awareness. You will be a natural relationship builder and be versed in thriving in a fast-paced environment and maintaining equal levels of attention to clients.

You will be reporting directly to the CEO.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Oversee the general welfare and management decision-making of the junior team members.
• Develop proposals, budgets, timelines and PR plans for existing and prospective clients according to provided briefs to ensure cost-effective strategies and tactics are employed.
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists, influencers, and media outlets to ensure positive media coverage.
• Organise and manage events such as press conferences, product launches, and promotional activities for clients.
• Communicate with various stakeholders, including clients, employees, agency partners and friends, and the public, to maintain a positive image of the agency.
• Serve as a central point of contact for all pertinent issues from clients, team members and other stakeholders.
• Execute PR strategies to meet key performance indicators.
• Supervise various departments or teams within the agency
• Make key decisions that impact the agency’s direction, growth, and operations.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of proven experience in PR, Communications, Marketing Communications or Management field, agency experience is preferred.
• Strong team leadership and great decision-making skills are essential. You will also possess problem-solving skills to address issues.
• Strategic thinking and critical analysis abilities
• Excellent communication skills are required.
• You have to be an exemplary individual for junior team members.
• Great ability to effectively manage time and produce outputs in a timely manner.
• You should pay keen attention to detail through all efforts being put out by the agency.
• You will be a highly motivated individual who can take initiative and work independently, and collaboratively.
• Must be adept to industry standards and trends, and seek ways to adopt and improve them.
• Excellent understanding of the role of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn) to make informed data-driven decisions.
