Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet company needs.
- Source and evaluate suppliers to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with vendors.
- Manage inventory and stock levels to prevent shortages or excesses.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and industry regulations.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to determine material requirements.
- Monitor market trends and supplier performance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Purchasing & Supply, Logistics, Civil/Mechanical Engineering, or Quantity Surveying.
- MBA/MSc in Supply Chain Management is an added advantage.
- CIPSMN certification is highly preferred.
- 5-6 years of proven experience in procurement and supply chain, preferably in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of stock management principles.
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement software.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Candidates from South-South Nigeria are preferred.
