Procurement Officer

Responsibilities:

• Travel extensively to various farming locations to purchase fresh produce directly from farmers.
• Establish and maintain relationships with farmers, leveraging existing connections to enhance sourcing opportunities.
• Negotiate pricing and terms with farmers to achieve favorable procurement deal
• Monitor market trends and conduct price analysis to ensure competitive purchasing.
• Collaborate with the logistics team to ensure timely and efficient transport of goods back to Lagos.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, supplier information, and market conditions.
• Provide regular updates and reports on procurement activities and market insights to management.

Requirements:

• Fluent communication in Hausa language
• Proven experience in procurement, sales, or a related field, preferably within the agricultural sector.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to bargain effectively for better prices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a knack for building relationships.
• Ability to travel frequently and adapt to various working environments.
• Knowledge of agricultural products and the local farming community is a plus.
• Street-smart with a strategic approach to problem-solving and decision-making.

Remuneration: NGN 100,000 - 120,000 Monthly
