Reports To : Technical Product Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Product Designer to join our team in building the next leading retail and business bank. If you have experience launching new products from the ground up, this is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of banking in Africa.

The ideal candidate must have background in designing SaaS products or features that have successfully gone to market. He/she must be passionate about creating solutions that address real market needs. Responsibilities

• Advocate for the user throughout the design process and ensure that designs are accessible, inclusive, and intuitive.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define project goals, scope, and requirements.
• Conduct user research to gain insights into user behaviors, needs, and pain points.
• Translate user research findings into actionable design solutions that address user needs and business objectives.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that effectively communicate design concepts and interactions.
• Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to iterate and improve design solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or any related field
• 3+ years of experience in product design or UI/UX roles with a focus on digital products
• A portfolio showcasing your work in UX design, including wireframes, prototypes, digital assets, websites, applications, and high-fidelity designs.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, or similar.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex requirements into intuitive and elegant design solutions.
• Strong knowledge of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
• Understanding of current design trends and best practices in UI/UX design.
