Product Developer & Creative Assistant

• Translate women’s wear design sketches into precise technical specifications, including detailed tech packs with construction details, measurements, and fabric specifications.
• Collaborate with overseas manufacturers to oversee the development of women’s wear samples, rigorously evaluating materials, construction, and fit to ensure alignment with the brand’s vision.
• Conduct fittings, making adjustments specific to women’s wear to achieve an impeccable fit, comfort, and aesthetic appeal that honors the female form.
• Partner with the Creative Director to ensure that each garment aligns with the brand’s storytelling, sustainability, and craftsmanship principles.
• Perform quality control checks and assist in troubleshooting production issues to maintain high-quality output.
• Work closely with the Creative Director to brainstorm and refine design ideas, contributing insights into women’s wear trends, silhouettes, and details that enhance femininity and sophistication.
• Create digital renderings of women’s wear designs using Adobe Illustrator or similar software and assist in hand-sketching concepts as needed.
• Research current trends in women’s wear, fabric innovation, and sustainable practices that could elevate the product line.
• Coordinate production schedules with manufacturers, specifically overseeing quality control processes for women’s wear garments to meet the high standards of luxury and fit.
• Monitor project timelines to ensure that all women’s wear products are delivered on schedule, addressing any potential delays or issues specific to fit, material quality, or production details.
• Keep a meticulous record of all development stages for women’s wear, including sample iterations, feedback, and adjustments to ensure brand consistency and quality.
• Ensure that every piece of women’s wear honors the brand's mission of heritage and cultural storytelling, with a sensitive approach to design elements inspired by diverse backgrounds.
• Support sustainability goals by identifying eco-friendly materials and ethical production practices suitable for women’s wear.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Product Development, Textile Engineering, or a related field with a strong focus on women’s wear.
• 3+ years of experience in product development specifically for women’s wear, preferably within luxury, resort wear, or heritage-inspired brands.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD software; experience with 3D design software (CLO 3D) is a plus.
• Deep knowledge of women’s garment construction, pattern-making, fit adjustment, and the unique technical requirements for women’s wear.
• Prior experience working with international manufacturing teams, particularly in China, is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a creative setting.
• Passion for sustainable fashion, cultural heritage, and a commitment to producing high-quality women’s wear.

Additional skills:

• Familiarity with sustainable materials and eco-friendly production practices specific to women’s wear.
• An understanding of luxury resort wear and an ability to design pieces that blend classic sophistication with cultural richness.
• Basic skills in photography or social media to assist in capturing product development and final pieces (if needed).
