Job Description/Requirements
The Production Manager will oversee and manage the production operations within the company. This includes ensuring efficient production processes, leading the Production team and coordinating with other departments to meet production goals, and maintaining quality control and safety standards.
Key Job Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement production strategies and procedures to optimize productivity and minimize errors.
- Lead and supervise Production team, providing coaching and necessary support to ensure optimal performance of the production/packaging lines.
- Develop and implement weekly, monthly and quarterly production schedules in conjunction with the Planning team to satisfy sales demand and ensure timely delivery.
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with procurement team to ensure availability of production and packaging materials.
- Collaborate with quality control team to conduct inspections and audits of production processes and materials as well as finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Manage material supplies, finished goods, personnel availability, equipment and facility readiness by directly collaborating with related support functions.
- Develop and ensure efficient implementation of annual business plans and OPEX budgets.
- Ensure adherence to ULs quality standards, Good Manufacturing Practices, Standard Operating Procedures and industry regulations and standards.
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of production and packaging equipment to minimize downtime and eliminate inefficiencies.
- Partner with business leaders in implementation of process improvement and execution.
- Monitor productivity data and develop corrective action plans where necessary to achieve annual productivity improvements.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed to maintain a safe working environment.
- A degree in Engineering, Food Science or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years experience in a production or packaging management role, preferably in the food and beverage industry.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in production management software and tools.
- Understanding of quality control, safety standards, and regulatory requirements in the beverage industry.
