Production & Sourcing Assistant

Job Summary:

The Production & Sourcing Assistant will support the Production & Sourcing Manager in coordinating and managing the production process from sample to finished product. This role involves close collaboration with suppliers, factories, and internal teams to ensure products meet quality standards, are delivered on time, and align with budgetary goals.

Production Coordination:

• Assist in managing the end-to-end production process, from initial development through to final delivery.
• Track and monitor production timelines, ensuring deadlines are met for each stage.
• Coordinate with vendors and factories to oversee sampling, production schedules, and logistics.

Sourcing Support:

• Research and evaluate potential suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and competitive pricing.
• Assist in sourcing materials and components, maintaining records, and tracking stock levels.
• Conduct cost analysis to support budget adherence.

Quality Control:

• Assist in implementing and monitoring quality control processes at various production stages.
• Coordinate sample approvals and communicate any necessary adjustments to suppliers.

Logistics & Shipping:

• Prepare and manage shipping documentation and coordinate logistics with freight forwarders.
• Track shipments and resolve any shipping or customs issues in a timely manner.

Documentation & Record-Keeping:

• Maintain accurate records of production, sourcing data, purchase orders, and inventory.
• Support internal reporting by preparing weekly and monthly reports on production status, costs, and quality control metrics.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Collaborate with design, sales, and warehouse teams to align production with overall company goals.
• Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders on production updates, timelines, and issues.
  

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Fashion Merchandising, Business, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in production or sourcing, preferably within the [fashion/apparel/home goods or relevant] industry.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with an eye for detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with supply chain management software
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
