PROFESSIONAL FARM MANAGER

Due to ongoing expansion, our client urgently requires a skilled and knowledgeable Farm Manager to improve the entire operational efficiency of the Oil Palm Farm, which is located in a peaceful community in Ogun State. The farm also has a substantial growing no of cattle. If you're passionate about farming and have experience we would love to hear from you. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Support Management to drive process improvement on the Farm

· Manage crop production, including planning, planting and harvesting

· Develop and implement soil health and fertility management plans

· Supervise and train farm staff to ensure high-quality work.

· Maintain accurate records of farm operations, including crop yields, input utilization, pest management and workers weekly activity.

· Inspect crops, fields, or plant stock to determine conditions and needs for nutrients intervention, spraying, weeding, or harvesting.

· Assign duties to farm staff, such as cultivation, yield census, or harvesting of crops or plants, product packaging or grading, or equipment maintenance.

· Observe workers to detect inefficient or unsafe work procedures or to identify problems, initiating corrective action as necessary.

· Supervise employees in the cattle section and ensure accurate data collection from the cattle section.

REQUIREMENTS:

· BSc in Agriculture or a related field

· At least 4 years of experience in farm management

· Strong knowledge of farming principles and practices

· Experience with soil conservation, and integrated pest management

· Excellent leadership and management skills

· Integrity with a high sense of accountability.

· Ability to work efficiently and prioritize tasks effectively

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
