Job Summary

We are looking to hire a Project Accountant who will be responsible for overseeing the financial management of various projects from inception to completion, monitoring budgets, analyzing financial performance, providing management accounts, and ensuring accurate financial control and reporting on-site.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the financial management and accounting for multiple projects, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Monitor and track project budgets, ensuring expenditures are in line with forecasts.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts and financial reports for each project.
  • Conduct financial analysis and cost control assessments to ensure profitability and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers to provide financial insights and ensure accurate financial planning.
  • Manage cash flow forecasts and ensure sufficient funding is available for project needs.
  • Reconcile project accounts and ensure timely invoicing and payments.
  • Perform on-site financial monitoring, including expense tracking, audits, and adherence to budget limits.
  • Provide accurate and timely financial updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies, including audit and tax obligations.




Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ICAN) is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in project accounting, finance management, or a similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in financial management software and accounting systems.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Experience in managing on-site project finances and budgets.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge of management accounts, financial reporting, and project cost analysis.
  • Familiarity with financial regulations, tax laws, and audit processes.
