Job Summary

We are seeking to hire a highly intelligent, versatile, self-motivated professional with a solution-oriented mindset and a never-say-never attitude as a Project Manager with admin and operation skills to oversee the planning, execution, and completion of projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality and safety standards, while managing resources and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will also have administrative/operations skill in managing the day-to-day administrative functions of the organization, ensuring smooth operations by overseeing tasks like office management, procurement, scheduling, budget tracking, compliance, and coordinating with different departments to maintain efficiency and productivity across the company; essentially acting as a bridge between administrative tasks and operational needs. He must be agile, adaptable and results-driven, excelling in organizational efficiency, strategic problem-solving and project execution.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Allocate and manage human resources, equipment, materials, and budgets effectively, ensuring optimal utilization.
  • Coordinate with various teams, including engineers, technicians, suppliers, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks to ensure project success.
  • Negotiate and administer contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Ensure projects adhere to industry standards and regulations regarding quality and safety.
  • Track project progress, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions to maintain project goals.
  • Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure projects are financially viable. 

Additional Responsibilities:

  •  Processing paperwork and documentation, managing internal and external communications, handling travel arrangements, maintaining employee records and files 
  • Implementing and monitoring operational procedures, tracking project timelines and budgets, identifying areas for operational improvement and implementing changes, as well as ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Managing procurement processes, including vendor relations, tracking expenses and budget allocation, and processing invoices and payments.
  • Providing administrative support to team members, coordinating staff training and development, and managing employee schedules 


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in administrative or operations management roles.
  • Minimum 2.1 CGPA.
  • Excellent ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and maintain detailed records 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with various stakeholders 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software 
  • Ability to identify issues, analyze data, and implement solutions
  • Must be able to thrive in fast-paced environments, be ready to move to different locations for long periods as work dictates, embrace challenges as opportunities, and consistently push for excellence practically.
  • High level of accuracy and meticulousness in handling administrative tasks 
  • A keen ability to navigate challenges, drive efficiency, fast-paced situation-specific research and solution proposal/report writing/presentation, and deliver practical, high-impact results is essential.
  • Understanding of oil and gas industry operations and regulations.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies.
  • Project Management and other training certificates will be added advantage
  • Preferably a male


Location: Port-Harcourt


Remuneration: NGN 200,000 – 250,000
