Project Engineer Intern (NYSC)

Job Summary
The Project Engineer Intern supports the engineering team in planning, coordinating, and managing various engineering projects. This hands-on role provides an opportunity to gain practical experience in engineering principles, project management, and hands-on industrial construction.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of engineering designs, drawings, specifications and BOQs
- Support the development and review of project documentation such as blueprints, CAD models, and technical reports.
- Collaborate with project managers and team members to ensure project timelines are met.
- Monitor project progress, manage site workers and prepare updates for stakeholders.
- Conduct inspections, tests, or evaluations on project deliverables to ensure compliance with standards.
- Support the preparation of risk assessments and quality reports.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to project performance.
- Prepare and present technical and project status reports.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and records.
- Attend team meetings, take minutes, and follow up on action items.

Requirements
- Currently an NYSC candidate posted to Lagos
- Can easily commute to and from Ikeja
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Prior experience in industrial procurement and construction is a plus
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Inventor, or equivalent) is a plus
- Basic knowledge of project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) is a plus.
