Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Coordination:
- Develop comprehensive project plans that outline the scope, timeline, budget, and resources required for successful project completion.
- Oversee project planning activities, including permits, zoning, subcontractor selection, and procurement of materials.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and consultants to ensure alignment on project objectives and requirements.
Budget and Financial Management:
- Establish and manage project budgets, ensuring all expenses are tracked and accounted for within approved limits.
- Regularly monitor financial performance, identify cost-saving opportunities, and manage project cash flow.
- Prepare and submit financial reports to senior management, providing transparency on project expenses, revenue forecasts, and financial risks.
Project Execution and Quality Control:
- Oversee daily operations on construction sites, ensuring that work is conducted according to plans, specifications, and quality standards.
- Implement and manage quality control procedures to ensure high standards are met throughout the construction process.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and compliance with project objectives.
Risk Management and Issue Resolution:
- Identify potential risks and develop risk mitigation strategies to minimize project delays and cost overruns.
- Resolve project-related issues and challenges promptly, working closely with stakeholders to maintain project momentum.
- Adjust project plans and resources as needed to address unforeseen issues while minimizing disruption.
Contract and Stakeholder Management:
- Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure clear terms and expectations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing any concerns.
- Foster strong relationships with all project stakeholders, including clients, team members, local authorities, and the community.
Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Compliance:
- Promote a culture of safety on all job sites and ensure compliance with industry safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct site safety audits, monitor HSE performance, and implement corrective actions to ensure a safe work environment.
- Ensure environmental regulations and standards are adhered to throughout the construction process.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including schedules, budgets, permits, contracts, and meeting minutes.
- Prepare and present progress reports to senior management and other stakeholders, providing transparency on project status and key metrics.
- Ensure all project close-out documentation is completed, including as-built drawings, warranties, and operation manuals.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, architecture, or related field.
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in construction project management, with a proven track record of managing large-scale or complex projects.
- PMP, COREN, ARCON QSRBN certifications are highly desirable.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, project management principles, and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in project management software, such as O365, SharePoint, Odoo, MS Project, or Primavera
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines.
Work Environment:
- Primarily on-site, with some office-based responsibilities.
- May require extended hours, including nights and weekends, to meet project deadlines.
