About Company: A leading indigenous Building and Civil Engineering Construction Group in Nigeria.
The Company is seeking to hiring an experienced Project Manager that will oversee the construction of a high-rise building project in Yenagoa, the capital city of Bayelsa state, Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities:
- Outline project objectives, project scope, roles, and responsibilities
- Specify resource requirements and managing resource availability and allocation
- Prepare a detailed project plan to schedule key project milestones, work streams, and activities.
- Oversee the project's completion in accordance with the agreed plan.
- Keep track of project milestone and provide regular reports on project status to the project team and key stakeholders.
- Coordinate and manage changes in project scope, schedule, and/or budget
- Identifying and mitigating potential risks.
- Provide technical and commercial advice to stakeholders.
- Developed project schedule with integrated procurement plans and cash flow generation.
- Managing a project's commercial and contractual aspects
- Preparing and signing off contracts with nominated subcontractors
- Guarantee compliance with project requirements, with the aim of meeting goals, schedules, contract deliverables, etc.
- Review and evaluate subcontractor bid responses for inconsistencies, oversights, and mistakes.
- Direct and guide overall engineering activities, both in-house and outsourced, through the design and construction stages of projects.
- Ensure continuous improvement via strategic implementation of new processes and preventative measures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a reputable academic institution.
- 10+ work experience in High-rise building construction preferably in Nigeria or Africa
- Experience working on high-rise Building construction projects for top construction companies in Nigeria is preferred
- Ability to guarantee compliance with projects requirements
- Demonstrated experience in managing changes, innovations and improvements on projects
- Solid problem management and leadership skills.
- Ability to budget, schedule, negotiate, and control costs
