We are a leading estate development company with a proven track record of delivering premium residential real estate projects across Nigeria. We are seeking an experiencedProject Manager (Engineer) to join our dynamic team and oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale development projects in Lagos. The Project Manager (Engineer) will be responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of construction and infrastructure projects from conception to completion. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, technically proficient, and capable of leading cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, execute, and oversee all phases of estate development projects, including design, construction, infrastructure, and handover.
  • Coordinate internal teams, contractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation schedules.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, ensuring adherence to scope, timelines, cost, and quality benchmarks.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with architectural, engineering, and safety standards.
  • Prepare and present regular project reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, resolve issues promptly, and escalate critical concerns where necessary.
  • Ensure strict compliance with statutory regulations, environmental laws, and construction standards.
  • Manage project documentation, including contracts, designs, permits, approvals, and change orders.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Building Technology, or a related field.
  • Master’s Degree (optional but preferred) in Project Management, Engineering Management, or Construction Management.
  • Minimum of 15 years post-qualification experience in construction or real estate project management.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a senior project management or supervisory role handling large-scale estate or infrastructure projects.
  • Proven experience managing budgets of NGN 500 million and above.
  • Strong background in civil/structural works, MEP coordination, and finishing supervision.


Skills and Competencies:

  • High-level proficiency in project planning software (MS Project, Primavera, AutoCAD, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple contractors and stakeholders effectively.
  • Deep understanding of Nigerian building codes, planning regulations, and construction standards.
  • Proven leadership with the ability to drive performance from a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in fast-paced environments.


Professional Certifications (Mandatory/Preferred):

  • COREN Registration (Mandatory)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) – PMI Certified (Highly Preferred)
  • NSE Membership (Optional but an advantage)
  • PRINCE2 Certification (Optional but a plus)
  • HSE Certification (Occupational Health & Safety – Highly Preferred)
  • AutoCAD / Revit / Microsoft Project or Primavera P6 proficiency certifications (Preferred)
