We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Offshore Project Manager with a proven track record in the oil and gas sector. The ideal candidate should possess 10-12 years of relevant experience and a deep understanding of project management methodologies specific to the industry. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and executing oil and gas projects, ensuring their successful completion within scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Planning and Initiation

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and requirements.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining tasks, timelines, resource allocations, and risk mitigation strategies.

Team Leadership and Management

• Lead cross-functional project teams, providing clear direction, setting expectations, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Manage project team members, assign tasks, and ensure accountability for deliverables.

Scope and Change Management

• Monitor and control project scope, identifying and managing changes through appropriate change control processes.
• Communicate scope changes to stakeholders and assess their impact on project timelines and resources.

Budget and Cost Control

• Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring adherence to financial constraints.
• Implement cost control measures to prevent budget overruns and optimize resource utilization.

Schedule Management

• Create and maintain project schedules, identifying critical path activities and potential bottlenecks.
• Monitor progress, adjust timelines as needed, and ensure timely completion of project milestones.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation

• Identify project risks and develop strategies to mitigate potential issues.
• Proactively address challenges to minimize project disruptions and deviations from the plan.

Quality Assurance

• Establish quality standards and ensure that project deliverables meet or exceed expectations.
• Implement quality control measures and conduct regular audits to verify compliance.

Stakeholder Communication

• Maintain regular communication with project stakeholders, providing updates on project status, milestones, and potential risks.
• Address concerns, resolve conflicts, and ensure alignment with stakeholder expectations.

Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance

• Ensure that projects adhere to industry-specific health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.

Reporting and Documentation

• Generate project reports, documentation, and presentations for internal and external audiences.
• Maintain accurate records of project activities, decisions, and outcomes.

Lessons Learned and Continuous Improvement

• Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.
• Apply insights to refine project management processes and enhance future project outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Only offshore experience accepted.
• 10-12 years of progressive project management experience in the Oil and Gas industry.
• Strong experience in pipelay.
• In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects from initiation to completion.
• Experience in budgeting, cost control, and financial management.
• Familiarity with industry-specific health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
• Project management certification (PMP, Prince2, etc.) is a plus.
• Proficiency in project management software tools.
