The Project Officer will oversee the FoodBank initiative’s planning, execution, and impact assessment. This role requires someone who is street-smart, agile, resourceful, and capable of working effectively under tight schedules. The ideal candidate must be comfortable taking on responsibility, and adept at thinking on their feet.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
Program Management:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive operational plan for the FoodBank initiative.
- Manage the distribution, of food activation, and tracking of beneficiary cards.
- Coordinate with participating shops to ensure consistent adherence to program guidelines.
- Ensure operational efficiency while maintaining the integrity of the initiative.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Cultivate and manage partnerships with shop owners, and suppliers.
- Negotiate agreements to secure resources and partnerships effectively.
- Represent the initiative in community meetings, donor forums, and stakeholder events.
Monitoring and Reporting:
- Track and evaluate project performance against key metrics.
- Compile and present detailed reports on the initiative’s impact and progress.
- Develop risk management strategies to mitigate potential challenges.
Community Outreach:
- Organize awareness campaigns and build trust within the community.
- Respond proactively to challenges faced by beneficiaries or stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Experience in event planning, or a similar role will be an advantage
- Proven experience working in fast-paced, resource-constrained environments.
- Street-smart and resourceful, with the ability to navigate diverse challenges.
- Agile, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong negotiation skills for securing resources and resolving conflicts.
- Ability to think critically and solve problems on the spot.
- Results-driven with a proactive and responsible work ethic.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Familiarity with local cultural and socio-economic dynamics.
