Job Description:

Our client is seeking skilled and collaborative Gas Market Development Marketers to lead their market expansion across the Western and Eastern regions of Nigeria. Their company specializes in natural gas production and distribution, aiming to introduce natural gas to new regions. Marketers will drive market penetration, secure key partnerships, and ensure long-term growth through effective teamwork and collaboration


Key Responsibilities:

As a Gas Market Development Marketer, your role will focus on expanding the use of natural gas across Nigeria. This includes:

  1. Identifying Opportunities: Research areas with high energy demand and find businesses that would benefit from switching to natural gas.
  2. Building Relationships: Educate and connect with business owners, explaining how natural gas can save them money and benefit their operations.
  3. Facilitating Agreements: Help secure contracts and make sure customers meet safety and compliance standards.
  4. Assessing Feasibility: Check if natural gas is a good fit for each business, including the equipment and setup needed for the switch.
  5. Customer Training: Provide training to customers on the safe use and maintenance of their new natural gas systems.
  6. Ongoing Communication: Keep everyone updated and ensure clear communication throughout the process.


This role is ideal if you’re experienced in marketing, familiar with the energy sector, and ready to travel to meet clients across Nigeria.



Qualifications and Requirements:

  1. Minimum of a good Bachelor's degree.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing-related positions. Experience in natural gas market development will be an added advantage
  3. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  4. Proven experience in market development, sales, or business development in the energy sector.
  5. Strong understanding of the Nigerian energy market, especially natural gas.
  6. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  7. Ability to conduct technical evaluations and recommend solutions.
  8. Willingness to travel extensively and engage with potential customers
  9. Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
  10. Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications
  11. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  12. Knowledge of applicable HSE regulations, standards, and best practices

• Incentives for each customer signed on through off-take agreements along with additional bonuses depending on the priority level of customers engaged and signed on timeliness within the stipulated engagement period.
