Project Officer

Responsibilities:

• Assist the project manager in planning, executing, and completing construction projects.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and contractors to develop project plans and timelines.
  
• Monitor and ensure adherence to project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
  
• Review and interpret technical drawings and project specifications.
  
• Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, safety standards, and regulations.
  
• Oversee day-to-day project activities, including site supervision and contractor management.
  
• Implement construction methods, technologies, and best practices for efficient project execution.
  
• Ensure quality control, safety, and cost management throughout the project lifecycle.
  
• Prepare and submit project progress reports to the project manager.
  
• Utilize project management tools like MS Project and Zoho Projects to track project progress.
  

Requirements:

• A degree in Building Technology, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
  
• Technical and Project Management certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, etc.) are preferred.
  
• A minimum of 3 years of project management experience, specifically in the construction sector.
  
• Strong knowledge of building codes, construction technology, methods, equipment, and procedures.
  
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  
• Experience in cost control, scheduling, safety management, and quality assurance.
  
• Proficiency in using AutoCAD, MS Project, and Zoho Projects.
  
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  
• A positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well within a team.
