Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance:
- Develop and implement quality management systems: Establish and maintain quality standards, policies, and procedures for construction projects.
- Conduct quality audits: Perform regular audits to ensure compliance with quality standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Identify and mitigate risks: Proactively identify potential quality risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Collaborate with project teams: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure quality standards are met.
Quality Control:
- Inspect construction sites: Conduct regular site inspections to monitor construction progress, identify defects, and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Verify materials and workmanship: Inspect materials and workmanship to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Identify and report defects: Document and report any defects or non-conformities found during inspections.
- Collaborate with contractors: Work with contractors to resolve defects and implement corrective actions.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain quality records: Keep accurate and up-to-date records of quality inspections, audits, and test results.
- Prepare quality reports: Compile and submit regular quality reports to management and project stakeholders.
- Develop and implement quality metrics: Establish and track key quality metrics to measure performance and identify areas for improvement.
Other Responsibilities:
- Stay up-to-date with industry standards: Participate in training and professional development to stay current with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Collaborate with other departments: Work closely with other departments to ensure quality standards are met.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Certification in quality management (e.g., ISO 9001)
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in QA/QC in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and regulations
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Computer Literate
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects.
