Job Overview:
As a QA Engineer at Mookie, you will focus on manual testing to ensure the quality and functionality of our platform. You will work closely with the development and product teams to create test plans, identify bugs, and support the delivery of a smooth user experience. While automation experience is not mandatory, having some exposure would be a valuable asset as we continue to scale.
Key Responsibilities:
- Test Planning & Execution:
- Develop, document, and execute test cases and test plans for new features, enhancements, and bug fixes.
- Perform functional, regression, and performance testing primarily on web and mobile applications.
- Bug Tracking & Reporting:
- Identify, document, and track defects using bug-tracking tools like JIRA or similar.
- Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that product features meet defined specifications and acceptance criteria.
- Conduct usability, load, and stress testing to assess platform performance.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (development, product) to understand feature functionality and ensure test coverage.
- Provide feedback on product quality during sprint planning and reviews.
Nice to Have (But Not Required):
- Automation:
- Exposure to automation testing tools like Selenium or Postman is a plus.
- Experience with any CI/CD processes is an added advantage but not expected.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- 1-2+ years of experience in QA or software testing, focusing on manual testing.
- Basic knowledge or exposure to automated testing frameworks is desirable but not required.
- Tools:
- Familiarity with QA tools such as JIRA, TestRail, or similar.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
