Job Summary

The Quality Assurance Officer is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and monitoring of quality improvement initiatives and standards across the hospital. The goal is to ensure compliance with internal policies, clinical protocols, regulatory standards, and continuous improvement of patient care outcomes.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor compliance with quality standards, safety protocols, and accreditation requirements.
  • Conduct internal audits, inspections, and assessments of clinical and non-clinical departments.
  • Assist in the development and revision of quality management policies and SOPs.
  • Identify areas for improvement and recommend corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Track and report quality indicators and performance metrics regularly.
  • Facilitate staff training on quality and safety protocols.
  • Assist with patient satisfaction surveys and feedback analysis.
  • Support incident reporting, root cause analysis (RCA), and documentation of clinical events.
  • Collaborate with department heads to drive continuous quality improvement (CQI).
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality documentation and compliance records.
  • Prepare reports for management and regulatory bodies.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Medical Laboratory Science, Public Health, Health Information Management, or a related healthcare field.
  • Certification in Quality Assurance, Healthcare Quality, or a related field is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with healthcare accreditation standards (e.g., NHIS, HEFAMAA, ISO, COHSASA, or JCI).
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools is an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of clinical governance, safety, and risk management.
  • Ability to train and influence staff at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Team-oriented with strong organizational skills.


Remuneration: NGN 120,000 - 150,000
