Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Quality Monitoring: Develop and implement quality assurance programs to track clinical performance indicators and patient outcomes.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect, analyze, and interpret data to identify areas of improvement and present findings to management.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure compliance with Nigerian healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and internal policies related to patient safety and care quality.
- Utilization Review: Evaluate patient records and treatment plans to ensure that healthcare services provided are medically necessary, cost-effective, and aligned with best practices.
- Process Improvement Initiatives: Collaborate with clinical teams to design, implement, and assess quality improvement projects aimed at reducing errors and enhancing patient satisfaction.
- Education & Training: Provide training and guidance to nursing staff on quality standards, utilization review procedures, and best practices.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, administrators, and other healthcare professionals to optimize resource allocation and improve care delivery.
Requirements:
- Education & Certification: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BNSc) required. Must hold a valid RN license from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria. Additional certifications in Quality Improvement or Utilization Review are advantageous.
- Experience: At least 3 years of clinical nursing experience, with 1-2 years in quality assurance, quality improvement, or utilization review roles.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze clinical data, identify trends, and recommend effective interventions.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with Nigerian healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and clinical guidelines.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to review patient records meticulously, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established protocols.
- Communication & Teamwork: Excellent interpersonal skills, with the capacity to work collaboratively across various departments and communicate findings effectively.
- Problem-Solving Mindset: Proactive approach to identifying challenges and implementing solutions to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
