Job Summary
The Quality Control Officer is responsible for ensuring that all water products produced by Exagon Water Factory meet the highest standards of quality and safety. This role involves conducting regular tests and analyses, monitoring production processes, identifying and addressing quality issues, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess a strong understanding of water quality standards, and be committed to maintaining a safe and high-quality product for consumers.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Collect samples of raw water, in-process water, and finished water products according to established sampling plans.
- Perform a range of physical, chemical, and microbiological tests on water samples, including but not limited to pH, turbidity, conductivity, chlorine residual, and microbial counts.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and ensure its calibration and proper functioning.
- Prepare reagents and standards for laboratory testing.
- Monitor water treatment processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and operational procedures.
- Conduct regular inspections of production areas to identify potential sources of contamination or quality issues.
- Verify the proper functioning of filtration, disinfection, and other treatment equipment.
- Accurately record and document all test results and observations in designated logs and databases.
- Analyze test data to identify trends, deviations, and potential quality problems.
- Prepare regular quality control reports for the Quality Assurance Manager.
- Assist in the investigation of out-of-specification results and customer complaints related to water quality.
- Ensure compliance with relevant water quality regulations, industry standards, and the company's Quality Management System (QMS).
- Participate in internal and external audits.
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and work instructions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance water quality and efficiency.
- Monitor and enforce hygiene and sanitation practices within the production facility.
- Conduct environmental monitoring to ensure a clean and safe production environment.
- Assist in training production staff on quality control procedures and best practices.
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, and other departments to address quality-related issues.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding quality concerns.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, Environmental Science, Food Science, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
- Proven experience (typically 1-3 years) in a quality control role, preferably within the food and beverage or water treatment industry.
- Strong understanding of water quality parameters, testing methodologies, and relevant regulations.
- Proficiency in performing laboratory tests and operating laboratory equipment.
- Excellent record-keeping and data analysis skills.
- Attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
- Experience with specific water testing equipment and software.
- Knowledge of HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) principles.
- Experience in conducting internal audits.
