Job Summary
The Quantity Surveyor (QS) is responsible for managing all costs relating to building and civil engineering projects, from the initial calculations to the final figures. The QS ensures that the project is completed within budget and that financial risks and issues are properly managed. This role includes cost planning, value engineering, budgeting,

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze costings for tenders.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments.
- Monitor and control project budgets.
- Manage the procurement process, including preparation of bills of quantities and contract documentation.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and consultants.
- Conduct valuations of completed work and arrange payments.
- Prepare progress and cost reports.
- Negotiate and settle final accounts.
- Advise on contractual claims and disputes.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Provide commercial advice to project teams.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., RICS, NIQS) is an advantage.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a QS role within construction or engineering projects.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, project management tools, and QS software (e.g., CostX, WinQS).
- Strong numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills.
