Job Summary
Toplorgical is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic engineering and project management team in Nigeria. We are looking for a professional who can hit the ground running and contribute immediately to our ongoing projects. As a Quantity Surveyor at Toplorgical, you will be responsible for managing all costs relating to building and civil engineering projects, from initial calculations to final figures. Your role will be crucial in ensuring project cost-effectiveness while maintaining high-quality standards.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and competitive tender pricing for various projects
- Conduct detailed quantity take-offs from drawings for both structural and infrastructure projects
- Develop comprehensive tender documents from scratch based on client briefs
- Work with existing development tender documents when provided
- Prepare bills of quantities (BOQs) for construction projects
- Undertake cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work
- Perform risk assessment, value management, and cost control
- Advise on procurement strategy and identify commercial risks
- Allocate work to subcontractors and manage contracts
- Provide advice on contractual claims and prepare detailed progress reports.
Requirements:
- A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
- 3-5 years of post-NYSC experience in quantity surveying, with a focus on bid writing and tender preparation
- Professional qualification (e.g., NIQS membership) - this would be a significant plus
- Proven track record in the Nigerian construction and engineering sectors
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in quantity surveying software and MS Office suite
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- A knack for interpreting client needs and translating them into compelling proposals.
