Radiographer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiographer to join our healthcare team. The Radiographer will be responsible for operating imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images and assisting in diagnosing various medical conditions. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of anatomy, radiologic procedures, and radiation safety to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform radiographic examinations (e.g., X-rays, MRI, CT scans) following established protocols and procedures.
• Ensure accurate positioning of patients to obtain optimal diagnostic images.
• Operate and maintain radiographic equipment to produce high-quality images.
• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, including explaining the process and addressing any concerns.
• Adhere to radiation safety guidelines to protect patients, staff, and self.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to discuss image quality and support patient diagnosis.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure timely submission of images to radiologists for interpretation.
• Perform regular quality checks on equipment and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Stay updated with advancements in radiographic technology and procedures through continuous learning and training.
• Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and ethical standards.

Qualifications:

• Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Radiography, Medical Imaging, or related field.
• Certification and registration as a Radiographer (e.g., ARRT or equivalent).
• State licensure (if applicable).
• Proven experience in radiography or diagnostic imaging, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of radiographic equipment, anatomy, and physiology.
• Strong understanding of radiation protection and safety standards.
• Proficiency in image management software and digital imaging systems.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high-stress environment.
