React Native Developer

Job Title: React Native Developer Intern (Unpaid, Remote)

Location: Remote

Duration: 16 weeks (with the potential for conversion to a paid position based on performance)

Overview: Swap Space is a dynamic platform designed to make buying, selling, and renting properties as seamless as swiping left or right. Our frontend team plays an essential role in creating a smooth and intuitive user experience for our app users. As a React Native Developer Intern, you will support the team in building and enhancing mobile features, improving user interactions, and ensuring a responsive and high-quality application. This remote internship requires a reliable internet connection and a computer for work.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain mobile app components using React Native to enhance Swap Space’s user experience
• Work closely with the backend team to ensure seamless data integration and smooth functionality
• Collaborate with other team members in remote meetings to discuss frontend strategies, improvements, and best practices
• Document code and development processes to contribute to team knowledge sharing
• Assist in debugging, testing, and optimizing the mobile app to ensure peak performance
• Take on additional tasks as required by the team

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering)
• Strong foundation in React Native and understanding of mobile app development concepts
• Familiarity with mobile UI/UX design principles
• Experience with version control tools such as Git, GitHub, or Bitbucket
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Fluency in a second language is a plus
