We're looking for a skilled Mobile App Developer to join a fast-growing Dublin-based Entertainment startup. You’ll play a key role in developing a native app that transforms how users attend their favorite events, all while enjoying the flexibility of working remotely from anywhere.

This startup is in a steady growth phase, with a small, dedicated team of around 15. Building a cutting-edge Event booking platform powered by AI that simplifies event management for organizers and simple transaction for end users, focusing on intuitive design and seamless user experience. The company operates on a remote-first model, so you can work from anywhere in the world, supported by an external payroll service provider.

What You’ll Do

• Android development: For Android, you’ll focus on developing and optimizing the app using React-Native, creating a consistent and smooth user experience.
• API integration: Work with the backend team to integrate RESTful APIs, ensuring seamless data flow and synchronization.
• User interface: Collaborate with designers to implement clean and efficient UI/UX designs tailored for your platform, design and refactor UI components with a focus on reusability and extensibility. Refactor legacy UI code to bring it up to date with modern design and testing standards.
• Testing & debugging: Identify and resolve bugs, optimize performance, and ensure the app is reliable and efficient.
• Feature implementation: Work on new features from conception to deployment, continuously improving the app based on user feedback and analytics.
• Code quality: Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews to uphold high standards.
• Work as part of a Team that takes individual and collective responsibility for the quality of product, conduct peer reviews, provide guidance and assistance to other team peers, as well as take feedback from colleagues.
• Stay updated with the latest frontend technologies and advocate for their adoption.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as a UI/UX Developer or similar role.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Extensive experience with React and React-Native.
• Experience working with React Testing Library.
• Experienced in integrating RESTful APIs, and familiar with tools like Figma and Expo for Native APK building and testing.
• Expertise in responsive mobile design, ensuring compatibility across browsers and devices, and optimizing native performance.
• Design System (Custom/Open-Source) and Storybook.
• Experience with version control systems, such as Git and semantic versioning.
• Awareness of accessibility standards (WCAG).
• Have a strong eye for detail, particularly in UI implementation and performance optimization.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to excel as both an individual contributor and also as a team player.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Can thrive in a remote-first, fast-paced startup environment where you can take initiative and drive projects forward.
