Refining Operator

Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor refining equipment, including furnaces, kettles, and other associated machinery, to process recycled lead.
• Perform lead purification, alloying, and casting tasks in compliance with company procedures and environmental regulations.
• Maintain optimal process parameters, such as temperature and chemical composition, to ensure consistent lead quality.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of refining equipment to minimize downtime and ensure safe operations.
• Adhere to strict safety protocols while handling hazardous materials, including personal protective equipment (PPE) usage.
• Test and analyze lead samples to confirm compliance with quality standards, using appropriate instruments and methods.
• Collaborate with team members, including supervisors and quality control personnel, to achieve production goals.
• Document production activities, equipment performance, and maintenance tasks in daily logs and reports.
• Identify and troubleshoot operational issues to enhance process efficiency and product yield.
• Support initiatives to improve environmental sustainability and reduce waste during the refining process.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in lead refining, metal processing, or a related industrial role.
• Strong understanding of metallurgical processes and lead recycling techniques.
• Familiarity with furnace operation, chemical handling, and industrial safety protocols.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced production environment.
• Basic documentation skills for recording and tracking production data.
• Physical ability to work in a manufacturing setting, including lifting heavy materials and working in high-temperature environments.
