Job Description/Requirements
Duties
- The Registrar is the Chief Administrative Officer of the College and is responsible to the Provost for the general administrative work and running of the College.
Notably, the Registrar shall:
- Keep all records of staff and students.
- Conduct and receive all correspondences of Council and Management.
- In addition to other duties conferred by the Federal Colleges of Education Act, 2023, be the Secretary to Council, Management Committee, Academic Board, and any Committee of Council.
- Perform any other function, which the Council or Provost may so direct.
Qualifications
Candidates for the post of the Registrar should possess the following:
- A good honors Degree in any of the Social Sciences / Arts subjects from any recognized institution of higher learning.
- Must possess a relevant master's degree from a recognized institution of higher learning with at least 18 years of cognate work experience. Possession of a Doctorate Degree is an added advantage.
- Must have been a Deputy Registrar on CONTEDISS 15.
- Evidence of continuous mandatory professional development.
- Proficiency in Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
- Must be a member of a recognized professional body in a relevant field.
- The successful candidate must not be above the age of fifty-nine (59) years at the time of taking up the appointment.
Tenure
- The appointment is for a single term of five (5) years only, beginning from the effective date of appointment.
Salary
- The salary and fringe benefits attached to the post are as applicable to the post of a Registrar in all Federal Colleges of Education in Nigeria and as may be determined from time to time by the Federal Government.
