Research Officer

As a Research Officer at Benzone Development Foundation, you will play a crucial role in advancing our mission to support underprivileged children through education and community development. Your primary responsibilities will include:

Identifying and Enrolling Underprivileged Children: Conduct research to identify children who would benefit from our educational programs and facilitate their enrollment.

Seeking Partnership Opportunities: Engage with private organizations, government bodies, NGOs, and businesses to establish partnerships that support our mission.

Developing Innovative Project Ideas: Create and propose new project ideas that align with our goals and enhance our impact.

Collaborating with the Projects Coordinator: Work closely with the Projects Coordinator to ensure the successful implementation and management of initiatives.

Conducting In-Depth Research: Perform detailed research on various topics relevant to our mission, including market research, policy analysis, and academic content.

Data Collection and Analysis: Utilize various methodologies such as surveys, questionnaires, and interviews to gather data and provide insights that inform our strategies.

Grant Management: Assist in the management of research grants, ensuring compliance with funding requirements and effective use of resources.

Reporting and Documentation: Prepare comprehensive reports and documentation to support our projects and initiatives.

Supporting Policy Development: Provide data and insights to support the development of policies that further our mission.

Maintaining Databases: Manage and update databases to ensure accurate and up-to-date information is available for decision-making.

Social Media Research: Conduct research on NGO trends, conferences, seminars, and events, as well as grant and collaboration opportunities. Provide suggestions for BDF to participate in NGO awards and stay updated on trends in the NGO sector in Nigeria.

Day-to-Day Office Management: Oversee the daily operations of the office to ensure a smooth and efficient working environment.

Reporting: Prepare and present weekly and monthly reports on achievements and progress to the management team.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Social Sciences, Development Studies, Education).

Proven experience in research, data collection, and analysis.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis software.

Experience in grant management and social media research is a plus.
